The room on the left side of the hallway was Delilah’s; it was small and nothing like her
suite at Loyalty. There was no jacuzzi, no fluffy white sheets, no lemongrass soap, and most certainly no quick access to crack. The walls were covered with a dull wallpaper and there was a four-story dresser perched against the wall.

Delilah sighed as she dropped her bag on the floor. She would have to suffer living there for
a few weeks if she had any chances of getting Avion back. She really had no choice since her controlling sister had frozen her accounts and fired her from her job. She thought it was all for her own good, but she knew Lu must have had
some plan of her own. “Stupid
bitch,” she retorted, plopping down on the twin sized bed.

D stared up at the ceiling which reminded her of the nights she spent awake in the two-by-two cell of solitary confinement. She closed her eyes and then, there was a knock on the door.

“Delilah?” A sweet voice came through the door.

“Yes?” D stood and opened the door.

The frail, blonde-haired woman stepped into the room. She was wearing a floral print dress and a slight smile. She had a stack of papers and brochures in her hand, too.
She looked at Delilah and then around the room.

“I’m Canada, your counselor.”
